Lab 6: Georeferencing, Editing, and 3D Mapping

This week's lab covered a wide range of topics, all of which were fairly simple once I got the hang of the concepts. One of the biggest struggles I faced with this lab was trying to use the correct functions for viewing and orienting the map, as I do not have a mouse. Once I got the hang of viewing the map, I found georeferencing the raster images to be the most interesting part of the lab. It is interesting how labor intensive referencing can be, and for large projects I would imagine this takes up a large amount of time. As part of this week's assignments I also researched a journal article related to this weeks topics, and chose an article on automating georeferencing of images, which is the direction I would assume most georeferincing is moving.
