Module 4: Part 2: Choropleth Mapping

 

I used the natural breaks method to create 8 classes, with 4 categories of gains and 4 categories of losses. This is because there is a fairly even distribution of gain and losses, with higher counts towards the 0 value. I used 0 as the center point for this reason. 

For the legend colors, I chose to make all increases green and decreases red. Larger decreases are darker red, and larger increases are a darker green. The neutral changes that make up a majority of the differences in counts are lighter in color.
