For this week's lab, we used four different classification methods to demonstrate the spread of senior citizens in Miami Dade County. By changing the symbology of the maps to be based on a graduated scale, I then created 4 different maps that had population distribution based on the equal interval, quantile, natural breaks and standard deviation method. The most accurate map was the natural breaks method for this data set, and though it does not demonstrate even intervals for the classifications, it does give the map viewer an accurate understanding of the values. Standard deviation has a similar accuracy, though the legend does not accurately display values for the viewer to understand the spread in an accurate manner.
