Module 5: Choropleth and Proportional Symbol Mapping

For this week's lab we created a combined choropleth and proportional symbol map that demonstrated the wine consumption and population density of European countries. For this map we created a graduated color scene to demonstrate the population density in each map, and I chose the normal breaks method, and I was able to demonstrate the data in a way that still had outliers featured but contained a gradual color grade that was able to demonstrate every country's population in relation to each other. I then chose the graduated symbol method to demonstrate relative wine consumption across all European countries present in the map in a way that was an appropriate demonstration of differences in wine consumption while still displaying data that did not overlap and kept ideas and symbols separate.
